Enough Already! Americans in America do not tolerate crime or the criminals that commit them.

Well, that changed in early summer 2020. A black man died by the action of a police officer. Should it have happened? No. Was it because the police officer was racist? Maybe. Did the police officer have disciplinary actions on his record in the past? Yes. Was the police officer part of systemic racism? No.

The real story is that within a few hours of the event, there were organized riots on the same street lead by trained organizers. The rioters grew into thousands over the next few days. Millions of dollars of property intentionally destroyed by the rioting. The property owners did no wrong. The city failed to protect them. We all saw the looting and burning of businesses as the reporter in the camera said, “it is mostly peaceful.”

Then is started. Over five hundred riots in major cities of the next twenty months. Most of the State, County, and City authorities stepped aside and did little or nothing. Those arrested were soon released with little or no bail requirements. The media reported near zero on the those arrested. Were they tried and sentenced in court for their crimes? Crime rates, including murder and violence, in major cities skyrocketed in next two years and still increasing.

So, what to do? Why bail “reform” of course. Release dangerous offenders awaiting trial on to the street. What could go wrong?

Its okay, a liberal university did a study of the Chicago bail reform and concluded there was no “statistically” significant increase in crime rate. The rate of crime by offenders on the street waiting trail was the statistically the same as pre bail reform.

Using precise figures from the paper indicates there were five hundred more on the street that led to roughly eighty-five additional crimes, including sixteen violent crimes. There was also a significant increase in offenders’ failure to appear for trial. Those additional crimes disproportionately victimize the black and Latino Chicagoan’s.

If the study was replicated in the other major cities, one could expect a similar result. How many charged with murder walking around with an electronic monitor in your community? How many is, okay?

It is time for all American voters to out the policymakers that protect the criminal and put the law-abiding citizens at risk. Get to know that District Attorney responsible for prosecution of criminals and the judges that set bail and sentence criminals – in particular, violent crimes.
